To commemorate the anniversary of the death of St. Columban, there will be a pilgrim walk “The Way of St. Columban” taking place in Clonmult next Saturday, 20th June at 3.00 p.m. The walk begins at the Church (outside) and goes via the Holy Well returning again to the Church. There will be a few stops along the way for brief prayers and reflection. Everyone is welcome.
Hats off to those involved with the cemetery project beside Clonmult Church – it is really taking shape. Well done to all concerned!
Ordination: On Sunday 5th of July Eamon Roche will be ordained a priest in St. Colman’s Cathedral, Cobh, at 2.30 p.m. It is a very special day and all are welcome to attend; one does not have to be formally invited. As on the previous occasion, I will organise a bus which will drop us at the Cathedral gates and have no worries about parking or climbing hills or steps. If you would like to travel by bus, let me know A.S.A.P. Cost and time of departure will be announced later.
Golden Jubilee: On the 20th of June 1965 Fr. Cogan was ordained a Priest in Maynooth. On the 20th of June 2015 he will offer the 7.00 p.m. Mass in Castlemartyr in thanksgiving. Anyone is welcome to attend and participate on the occasion. Like any Mass you are openly invited.
