DUNGOURNEY 1 – 9 CARRIGTWOHILL 3 – 11
Dungourney bowed out of this years J.A.F.C. at Clonmult Memorial Park Midleton on Sunday. Trailing by 2-9 to 0-2 at half time we upped our game in the second half to finish on a score line of 3-11 to 1-9. This was a first for the Club reaching this stage of the competition, well done to all involved.

Our U-16 Camogie season came to an end last Saturday in Charleville. In a highly entertaining game our girls can be very proud of their display over the hour.They were a credit to their coaches – Mary “BALLYHOOLY”, Stephen Hickey, David Hegarty, and John Ronayne. To Kate Mary, Lisa, Mairead, Micheala and Sinead who were playing their last game for the club – Thanks for the memories and good luck in your sporting careers – we will miss you.

A meeting of Parents whose children will be receiving their First Holy Communion next May will take place this Monday 22nd September at 8pm in Dungourney National School. This meeting is in regard the implementing of the “Do this in Memory” preparation programme for holy communion.
A “family prayer group” is currently being organised for Imogeela Parish. A steering group will meet next Thursday 25th September at 7pm in St. Josephs N.S. Castlemartyr. For further information contact Linda Jordan 087/7884771.

Dungourney 4-5 Ballinora 1-4
Our u16 camogie team had a very convincing win today over Ballinora in the County Championship. Leading by 1-3 to 0-1 at half time the girls upped the tempo in the second half to run out comfortable winners. We now play Charleville in the next round, provisionally fixed for Saturday next 27th. Time and venue to be confirmed. Well done girls

Dungourney 3-8 Midleton 3-7. Our footballers advanced to a semi-final meeting with Carrigtwohill in the Junior A Football Championship following their one point win over Midleton last Saturday in Castlemartyr. This is the clubs first time reaching this stage of the competition. Well done to all involved. Semi-final is provisionally fixed for next Saturday.
