Clonmult Ambush Commemoration Committee are organising a ceremony to mark the restoration of the Monument in Clonmult Church Graveyard on Sunday 28th August after 1100 a.m. Mass. The oration will be delivered by Mr Pat Leahy, former Garda Commissioner. The monument underwent major restoration in recent times. It was designed by Walter Verling and constructed by Sheedy Monumental Works, who also carried out the restoration work. The late Cannon Egan PP was the project manager.
