Killarney Races Tuesday 16th July. James Sheehan welcomed back Somethingaboutangela after she won the M. D. O’Shea’s Mares Maiden Hurdle for the local trainer. Ridden by Jody McGarvey, she moved to the front two out but made a bad mistake at the last, which opened the door for Honey Come Home. However, the Pilot got her going again and she pulled out plenty to win going away.
“She was in front a bit early, but she travels so well and things didn’t go so right for her the last day. The owners are from Galway and she might run there. I only have two horses in for the summer and there is a €5,000 bonus today, so that is the icing on the cake” said James.
