Clonmult Graveyard – New Extension

An Open Meeting was held on Sunday the 26^th October, 2014 in the Old Schoolhouse, Clonmult.

20 people attended and Fr. Jack Cogan, Parish Priest, chaired the meeting.

A discussion took place with regard to

• Purchasing land adjoining the existing cemetery

Or

(b)   Utilising the grass area at the eastern side of the Church and creating a new Lawn Cemetery with a potential for 76 graves.

After much discussion a vote was taken. The result was 17 / 3 in favour of utilising the grass area.

A committee was formed to oversee the work.

Rules and Regulations were drawn up.
