I am very much interested in speaking to others with interest and knowledge of the Ftizgeralds of Clonmult.
In his book "When in Rome" George Buchanan quotes Michael John Fitzgerald McCarthy (my great uncle) in speaking about his mother: "They were the Ftizgeralds of Clonmult, and they could trace their pedigrees back to the Norman invasion without flaw."
In the marriage certificate of my grandmother, Bridget Fitzgerald to John Ronayne of Donickmore she confirms her residence as "Ballydonna."
Thanks you.
Hello Is there anyone in Clonmult/Dungourney that knows anything about the Moore family who were once farmers there, and lived in Dungourney? My Grandmother was Hannah Moore and my mother Maeve told me that they were also related to the Hegertys who also had a farm nearby. Several are buried in the cemetery I believe and I am trying to gather together the story and my links to this part of Ireland! I would really appreciate any information!
Many thanks
Paul

Is there anyone in Clonmult that knows about the Power family who were once prominent farmers there, and lived at Clonmult House? Several are buried in the cemetery and I think I might be a descendent of this family, I'd appreciate any information!
