Fatima 2017: A special Mass to celebrate the centenary of Fatima (13th May 1917) will take place in Dungourney church on next Tuesday, 9th May at 8.00 p.m. Rosary before Mass at 7.30 p.m. Homilist: Fr. Patrick Winkle (Youghal). All welcome.

First Holy Communion: The Second Class Children from Dungourney National School will receive their First Holy Communion at 11.00 a.m. on next Saturday, 13th May in Dungourney church. We wish all involved all the best and you are asked to remember them in your prayers during this coming week.

A meeting of Dungourney / Clonmult Liturgy group will take place on Monday 15th May at 8.00 p.m. in the priest’s house. All involved asked to attend.

Pilgrimage to Knock: The Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock takes place on Sunday 14th May. Bus leaves Castlemartyr at 6.30 a.m. sharp. Spiritual Director – Fr. Jack Cogan. Contact Mairead Downey at 087-9732021 to book a seat.

Safeguarding Children: The Diocesan Safeguarding Children Committee have complied the procedures to be followed in the Diocese to implement the National Safeguarding Children Policy. These procedures will be made available to the priests of the diocese at a meeting of priests on next Friday 12th May. They will become available to all on www.safeguardingchildrencloyne.ie.updating and further training will be given at a later date to safeguarding representatives and parish communities. Under legislation all who works with children and vulnerable adults have to be Garda vetted. The diocese has a policy of Garda vetting every 5 years of priests and all those who work with children and vulnerable adults.

Camp Creideamh:  Faith Camps for teenagers will take place again in Knockadoon (East Cork) over the dates 4th – 10th June (Boys Camp) and 11th – 17th June (Girls Camp). For those who are Post-Primary school age. Activities will include catechesis, prayer, sports, hillwalking, kayaking, swimming, music, arts and crafts and other activities.
