SPECIAL OLYMPICS.
A great time was had by all involved in the All-Ireland Special Olympics Games competitions held in Dublin last weekend. Qualifying events were held on Friday, our athletes, Orla Bane, Nicola Moran and D.J. Dunleavy all qualified for the Divisional Finals on Saturday/Sunday.
Orla won a Gold and a Silver in the Uneven Bars and Beams respectively.
Nicola got two Gold in Gymnastics.
D.J. won a Gold in the 50m Run and a Bronze medal in the Ball Throw.
All enjoyed the experience and will cherish the memories.
Hopefully some of them may be lucky enough to qualify for the World Games in Dubai next March.
