Clonmult Dungourey Foroige Club
Clonmult Dugourney Foroige Club was formed on the 21st February 2014 following a number of information meetings at Clonmult Old School during November / December 2013. It is one of many Foroige Clubs throughout the country helping teenagers to be the best they can. It offers young people the opportunities to run the club themselves in co-operation with their adult leaders.
Our Foroige Club is led by trained Volunteer Adults whose generosity with their time makes it possible for our community to have this club. Through Foroige young people can become more self-confident and self-reliant, develop their views, beliefs and values. They make friends and have fun, contribute to the development of their community, learn to accept and exercise responsibility and enjoy a great social outlet.
The purpose of Foroige is to enable young people to involve themselves consciously and actively in their own development and in the development of society. We each share the responsibility to develop the community and environment to pass it on to future generations. Working together we can make a difference and change things for the better. We can create what ought to be, rather than accept what is.
Foroige is Irelands leading youth organisation involving over 50,000 young people and 5,000 adult volunteers, supported by professional staff. For more info see www.foroige.ie.
